Anaesthesia Department
Dr Raimundo Escudero
Dr Escudero with more than 27 years as a physician and more than 17 years as an anesthesiologist is our coordinator of the anesthesia department. As such, he has been in charge at Ocean Clinic of designing the anesthesia protocols for outpatient surgery and the design of the sedation protocol for facial surgery, both of which contribute to achieving the best care for the patient.
As an anesthesiologist he is a specialist in different areas such as intensive care, cardiovascular, pediatric anesthesia and pain unit. Anyone always fears anesthesia in surgery, but here at Ocean Clinic, it is one of the strengths of our procedures, thanks to the confidence that Dr. Escudero, who speaks English, French and Spanish, gives.
Roberto Franco Carlo Mella
Dr Mella studied medicine and subsequently worked as a physician in the German Navy before specializing in aviation medicine, diving medicine and finally anesthesiology. He moved to Marbella in 2020 and started to work at Ocean Clinic as an anaesthesist.
One of our anaesthesist’s passions is to share this knowledge with future doctors, he is highly involved in the training of medical students from various German faculties so our patients of Ocean Clinic might see them with him learning his anaesthesia technics to know perfectly how to have “sweet dreams”.
Dr Mella speaks English, French, German, Spanish and Italian.
