When considering a dramatic smile makeover, modern dentistry has to be modernized in order to meet the aesthetic expectations of our most exacting patients.

Patients want beautiful smiles that are integrated with their physical characteristics, but also in harmony with its emotional aspects. Digital Smile Design (DSD) concept is used to take each patient through a quick study process taken by video and pictures and we study the results of the patient talking and acting naturally with the patient and then based on this we make a mold of their mouth from a wax up, at this time we choose the form and size of the new teeth through Visagism –later we try the new smile proposal in the mouth, and the patient can smile, talk and evaluate if the new smile is filling their esthetic expectations or if changes need to be made. DSD looks at the patient as a whole, the personality as well as the entire structure of the face to ensure the final result matches with the aesthetic look of the face as well as the personality of the patient.

Once we have carefully planned the case, a variety of cosmetic dentistry treatments are used to create the final smile transformation. We know that no two patients are alike, which is why we give all of our patients multiple cosmetic options and help them weigh the benefits of each.

Patients must keep up with your daily flossing and brushing and see our hygienist at least twice each year. Regular dental examinations and a sensible diet are needed to ensure longevity of the restorations. As a customized smile makeover may also correct problems with function and bite issues, patients who grind their teeth or clench may need to wear a splint afterwards, usually at night, to protect the teeth.

DSD is a diagnostic tool for carefully planning and reaching the desired end result. The risks of the procedures undertaken depends on the actual treatment option chosen e.g. placement of dental implants or ceramic crowns will each carry their specific procedure risks.

We aim for our smile makeovers to last for many years. Over time, individuals may experience wear and tear of materials particularly those patients with unfavorable “bites” or tendency to grind/clench. We will always discuss the long-term prognosis of your case on an individual basis prior to committing any treatment plan.
